Betty M. Conkin

Betty M. Conkin, 83, Kingsport, passed away as a result of a heart attack on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Indian Path Medical Center. Betty graduated from Sullivan High School and later attended East Tennessee State. She graduated from Whitney School of Business and later retired from Mead Paper in 1993 after 36 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Paul Joe Conkin, Sr.; parents, James B. and Carrie Mowell; and 3 sisters, Lila, Wanda and Dorothy.

Betty is survived by her son, Paul Conkin, Jr.; 2 brothers, Jimmie Mowell and Roy Mowell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

It was Betty's wish to be cremated and there will be no services.
