Earl Wayne Light

Earl Wayne Light, 68, Rogersville, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at his home. Born March 20, 1946 in Kingsport, TN, he had resided in Rogersville for the past 13 years. Earl worked in the maintenance department at Northeast State for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and going to yard sales and flea markets with his wife.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Light, father, Cecil K. Light, mother, Pauline Grace Light, and brother, Cecil K. Light, Jr.

Earl is survived by 4 step-sons, Mark Christian and wife, Angie of Rogersville, Dennis Christian and wife, Vinette of Blountville, McKinley Christian, Jr. of Kingsport, and Tim Christian and wife, Maria of El Paso, TX; 2 step-daughters, Sheila Farmer and husband, William of Kingsport, and Carol Brown of Gate City, VA; sister, Pearl Parker of Morristown; and nephews, Bart Parker, Eric Light, Aaron Light, and Jason Light.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Mitch Whisnant officiating.
