Edna Gilmore

Edna Gilmore, 91, of Kingsport went to be with her precious Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 27, 2014. She was born March 25, 1923 in Greene County, TN. Mrs. Gilmore was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church with her residence being at The Wexford House. She dearly loved her church, church family and her Pastor.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband Edward Gilmore; daughter Wanda Smith and granddaughter Paula Shipley.

Survivors include her daughter Wilma (Jo) Coffey of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren Barry Coffey of Nashville, TN, Chris Coffey of Atlanta, GA, ; great-grandchildren Morgan and Megan Coffey, Natalie Coffey, Kayla England of Kingsport, TN; great-great grandchild Aiden Addington of Kingsport, TN and son-in-law Jerry Smith of Kingsport, TN.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with Wayne Bledsoe officiating.

Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Wayne Bledsoe for his many visits with her.
