Granville Lee Crawford

Granville Lee Crawford, 62, Limestone, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Washington County and was employed by the Washington County Highway Department for the past 30 years. Granville was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother and was a good Christian man.

He was preceded in death by his son, John Crawford; daughter-in-law, Sarah Crawford; father, Lawrence Crawford; and sister, Evelyn Douglas.

Granville is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Rita Crawford; daughter, Kim Morelock and husband, Mark; two sons, Steve Crawford, and Scotty Wedding and wife, Angela; six granddaughters; mother, Lonnell Mattie McCamy Crawford; two great-granddaughters; four sisters, Sandra Crawford & husband, Bruce, Annie France, Doris Mumpower and husband, Dwight, and Mae Stapleton and husband, Kenny; one special brother, J.W. Johnson and wife, Jo-Anne; father-in-law, Don Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-7:00 pm at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Pete Smith officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Dickerson, Dave Cole, Cole Bitner, Jerry Bitner, Nick Dycus, Scotty Wedding, Ben Powers and Willie Morrow. Honorary pallbearers will be co-workers from the Washington County Highway Department.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church, 12720 Horton Hwy, Greeneville, TN 37743.
