Hedia "Faye" Cobb

Hedia "Faye" Cobb, 79, of Kingsport, went to the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, after an automobile accident. The accident, on May 29, 2013, also claimed the life of her husband, Jack Cobb who passed away five days later. Faye fought a good fight and kept her faith but weakened from the long hard battle she endured until she departed to be with Jesus. She was a loving mother, nana and wife. Faye owned and operated Guy's Upholstery for several years. She formerly attended Gospel Assembly Church and loved the Lord. Faye's passing has left an empty spot in our lives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Cobb; mother, Ina Spoon; father, E. S. Dodson; sisters, Christine and Alma; brothers, Bud (Jr.) and James; and two infants.

Faye is survived by her children, Kathy Martin and husband, Harold, Patricia Smith and husband, Kirk and Tammie Vicars, all of Kingsport; grandchildren, Josh and fiancée, Telissa, Kris and wife, Tonya, Heather, Jesse, Derick and wife, Cayla, Phillip, Taylor and Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Kaeden and Kaleb Kincer; sister, Mary Tipton and husband, Ron; a special brother-in-law, Lester Cobb and family; and several very special nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the entire staff of Wilcox Hall, 3rd Floor and Wellmont Hospice.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Derick Sherfey and Brother Fred Huff officiating. Special music will be provided by Jane Walker

Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Josh Moore, Kris Kincer, Jesse Bragg, Derick Sherfey, Phil Smith, Kirk Smith and Harold Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaeden Kincer and Kaleb Kincer.

Memorial contributions can be made to Wellmont Holston Valley Hospice, 130 W. Ravine Rd., Kingsport, TN 37660.
