Janet Peters

Janet Peters, 71, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 6, 2018, at Indian Path Medical Center. Born in Kingsport, she had resided here most of her life. She was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir. Janet had played the piano at Herman United Methodist Church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delaney and Bonnie Ketron.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Sonya Peters and fiancé Tommy Berry; son, Randy Peters and wife Sandi; one granddaughter, Alicia Peters and fiancé Charlie Coleman; three grandsons, Ben, Aaron, and Ryan Jessee; and one brother, Carl Lester Ketron and wife Sarah.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 9th at Kingsley United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Ray Amos, Sr. and Rev. Adam Love officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Randy Peters, Tony Peters, Earl Peters, Tommy Berry, Charlie Coleman, and Terry Landell. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Kingsley United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kingsley United Methodist Church, 2828 Bloomingdale Rd., Kingsport, Tennessee 37660.
