Louise A. Hurd

Louise A. Hurd, 93, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Blountville she had resided most of her life in Kingsport. She had attended Holston High School and had retired with Tennessee Eastman following 22 years of service. Louise was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Mt. Carmel.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charlie Archer

Louise is survived by her husband, of 67 years, Ray Hurd; two sons, Dana Hurd, and Pat Hurd and wife, Kay; granddaughter, Ashley Hurd; grandson, Marcus Hutchison; and several nieces, nephews and a host of other family members.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Mt. Carmel. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Dr. Randy Pressnell officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Mt. Carmel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 311 Cypress St., Mt. Carmel, TN 37645.
