Mable "Faye" Castle

Mable "Faye" Castle, 81, Kingsport, went to be with Lord on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief illness. Born February 26, 1934 in Hancock Co, TN to the late Edward and Ella Trent, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and nurse. She was a retired LPN from Holston Valley Medical Center. Faye was a member of Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to cook, read, and listen to gospel music. Faye was dedicated to caring for her children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by parents Edward and Ella Trent and brothers, Aaron Trent and Edward Trent Jr.

Faye is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 60 years, James Philip Castle; 4 children Philip Wayne Castle and wife Linda, Teresa Carr and husband Darrell, Glenn Castle, and Donna McConnell. She was also a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother and treated them as if they were her own children. Her 10 grandchildren are Jessica Lawson and fiancé John Raines, Ashley Lawson and fiancé Nick Creech, Justin Castle and wife Jessi, Brad Castle, Aaron Castle, Katie Castle, Michael Castle, Colton Castle, Hunter Castle, and Dr. Tonya Carr and husband Dan Wright; 4 great-grandchildren Mason Creech, Hayden Castle, Abigail Castle, and Isabella Castle; brothers Newman Trent and wife Lucille, and Sterling Trent and wife Ella; aunt and best friend Loura Byrd; sisters-in-law Sue Trent and Lena Trent; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the excellent staff and physicians at Holston Valley ER as well ICU. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the wonderful care that she received from Dr. Peter Platzer and staff for the wonderful care that she received.

The family will receive friends and family at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport on Friday August 21, 2015 from 4-6pm.

Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park on Saturday August 22, 2015 at 11am. Pallbearers will be Faye's grandsons.
