Ona Harris Hickman

Ona Harris Hickman, 93, of Beech Creek Community, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at NHC Healthcare in Johnson City. A native of Hawkins County, she was the daughter of the late Carter and Diana Bernard Harris. She was a homemaker, hard worker and enjoyed quilting. Ona was a lifetime member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Ira Patrick and 2nd husband, Edmond Hickman; daughter, Debbie Patrick; son, Paul Harris; grandson, Gary Anthony Patrick; sisters, Ada Hale, Carlie Bernard, Ruth Wade, Fronie Light and Ernie Brotherton; and brothers, Arlie Harris, Carson Harris and Clarence Harris.

Ona is survived by son, Jerry "Gary" Patrick and wife, Sharon; grandchildren, Tonya Kennard and husband, Cory, and Jeri Patrick; great-granddaughter, Alexis Patrick; sister, Elsie Harris; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at Mountain Home National Cemetery on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Wyndell Sydebottom officiating.
