Vennice L. Hall
Vennice L. Hall, age 74, of Wise, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after fighting a courageous battle with leukemia.
She was of the Freewill Baptist faith. She graduated from Clinch Valley College and worked as a legal secretary for many years. She retired from AT&T Relay Center after 19 years of service.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and volunteers of the Southwest Virginia Cancer Center, the doctors, nurses, and volunteers at Wellmont Cancer Center, and the doctors, nurses, and PCTs at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center for their kindness and special care.
Vennice was preceded in death by her mother, Della Hall; brother, Roger Hall; sister, Nora Hall; brother, Kenneth Hall; nephew, Phillip Hall; brother-in-law, Lloyd Baker, and brother-in-law, Frank Caruso.
She is survived by her sisters, Cora Dingus and husband, Junior of Coeburn, VA, Evelyn Baker of Johnson City, TN, Joyce Caruso of Johnson City, TN, and Judy Hall of Mt. Juliet, TN; brother, Homer Hall and wife, Phyllis of Wise, VA, and brother, caregiver, and best friend, Carl Hall of Johnson City, TN; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews who mourn her passing.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Stevens Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Jack Blanton and Rev. Gary Calhoun officiating.
Burial will follow at the Della Hall Family Cemetery with Rev. Jason Green officiating.
Pallbearers will be John Lee, David Hall, Shannon Hall, Nathan Hall, J. L. Lee, and Randy Baker.
