Randy Poe

David Randall Poe, 63, of Abingdon, VA, formerly of Kingsport, passed away on October 17, 2018 at The University of Virginia Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Born in Kingsport, he graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and Carson-Newman College where he played baseball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brown E. and Audrey Poe, and nephew, Tony Poe, Jr.

Randy is survived by his wife of 22 years, Melody Poe; daughter, Audrey Poe; brother, Tony Poe and wife, Pam and their children, Karen and Susan; sister, Judy Baxter and husband, Jim and their children, Alyson and Josh; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Shelbie Stallard; aunt, Katie Fleming; uncle, Jim Burchfield; 8 great-nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Randy's life will take place from 2-4:00 pm on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Informal dress is encouraged as well as your best stories about Randy.
