Agnes L. Reed
Agnes L. Reed, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 25, 2011, in Johnson City after a lengthy illness.
She was the daughter of the late John and Pearl Harkleroad. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde B. Reed; son, Bruce F. Reed; sisters, Wilma Jean Weaver, Jensey Lyon, an infant sister, Helen Harkleroad; and two brothers, Herman Toad Harkleroad and Glenn Harkleroad
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, William Bill and Deborah Reed, Kingsport; one sister, Mary Cross, Piney Flats; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lyle and Dreama Harkleroad, Bluff City, and Sidney and Aleada Harkleroad, Marion, NC; three grandchildren, Todd Reed, David Reed, and Karen Pierce; and one great-granddaughter, Brooke Reed.
The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday April 27, 2011 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Appalachian Christian Village, the place that Agnes called home for the last 6 ½ years.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
