Allie Bruce Miller, 97, of Weber City, VA, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation-Hillside .

Born May 6, 1909 in Scott County, VA, Mrs. Miller retired from F.W. Woolworths after 28 years service.

She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church in Yuma, VA.

Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Eliza Quillen Smith; her first husband, Beldon Bruce; second husband, Echol Miller; three sisters; four brothers; and one grandson, Jerry Paul Jeter.

Surviving are her daughter, Anna B. Jeter and husband, Paul of Kingsport; two granddaughters, Jane Hobbs and husband, Randall; Joy Henshaw and husband, Bob; three great-granddaughters, Amanda Hobbs, Rachel Henshaw, and Jessica Henshaw; and one great-grandson, John R. Hobbs.

The family expresses appreciation to the nurses at SunBridge Hillside and Adventa Hospice for their special care during such a difficult time.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Don Large and Rev. Dr. Ralph Kidd.

Interment will follow at Holston View Cemetery.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
