Aubrey Wayne Dykes

Aubrey Wayne Dykes, age 87, formerly of Fall Branch, Tennessee, was called home to be with his Lord on Friday, March 15, 2024. He was a graduate of Fall Branch High School, class of 1954. Wayne was a member of Double Springs Missionary Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired from The Mason & Dixon Lines, Inc. as a mechanic. Wayne loved gardening and home remodeling projects. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Dykes; parents, Ted and Ressie Dykes; and four brothers, Claude, Harold, Sammy and J.B. Dykes.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Robbins (Greg); son, Sam Dykes (Sherry); stepdaughter, Jody Vaughn (Jeff); six grandchildren, Morgan Robbins, Kasey Ward (Kirk), Katie Gardner (Josh), Chelsea Cannon (Caine), Lindsey Vaughn and Zachary Vaughn; and several great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Dykes (Ana), and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11am – 1pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Randy Waller officiating. Graveside will follow at Double Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
