Tanner Wood

Tanner Wood, 30, of Blountville, TN, was called home Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, at his home. Tanner was born in Kingsport and grew up in Blountville. He was a graduate of Central High School Class of 2011. Tanner was known for his wonderful smile. He was kindhearted, never met a stranger, and enjoyed doing many crafts.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Light; maternal grandparents, Paul and Lois Darnell; and uncle, Greg Darnell.

Tanner is survived by his father, Randy Wood; mother, Melissa Wood; brother, Hunter Wood; niece, Brynlee; grandfather, Truman Light; aunts, Lisa Darnell and Debby Wood; uncle, Bill Wood; and cousins, Will Wood, Joseph Wood, Mary Jo Howell, and McKenzie McLaughlin.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Bill Wood officiating.
