In Loving Memory of Barbara G. Blevins, April 28, 1944 - June 13, 2026
Barbara, 82, of Gray, Tennessee, entered her heavenly home, surrounded by her loving family, on June 13, 2026. Born on April 28, 1944 in Coeburn, VA. She was the cherished daughter of the late Lennie (Buck) and Letha Greear. Barbara spent several years working at the Eastman Chemical Company. It was there that she met the love of her life, Roger Blevins. They married and shared 55 wonderful years together, making their home in Gray, TN.
Faith was the cornerstone of Barbara’s life. She was a member of Fordtown Baptist Church for 50 years, serving faithfully in the children’s ministry as well as several other ministries in the church.
Family was Barbara’s greatest joy. She was the proud mother to her three sons. She was also incredibly proud of her 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and loved to support them at ball games and special occasions.
Barbara will be remembered for her unwavering faith and love , which guided her through every season of life. She loved the Lord and never missed an opportunity to tell others about him.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was proceeded in death by her sisters, Phyllis (Wayne) Corder and Alma Harmon.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Roger; their three sons: Michael Blevins (Amanda), Chris Blevins (Nikki), Tim Blevins (Cindy). Grandchildren: Christina (Jeremiah) Ledford, Madison Metcalf, Austin Blevins, Macie Blevins, Connor Blevins, and Jackson Blevins. Barbara is also survived by her brother: Warren (Christine) Greear; 4 special great grandchildren: Raylon Metcalf, Braelyn and Harper Ledford, and Chase Blevins as well as many other extended family, friends, and her church family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Fordtown Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Keith Smith officiating.
Graveside services will follow in the Fordtown Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Blevins, Chris Blevins, Tim Blevins, Austin Blevins, Johnny Townsend, and Jack Blevins.
