Barbara Annis Milhorn Canepa

Barbara Canepa, 60, of Kingsport, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center.  She was born in Sullivan County on October 31, 1959, a daughter of the late William and Ruby Milhorn and resided in this area her entire life. Barbara worked as a case manager and had an Associate Degree in Fashion Merchandising and Design and a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education with minor in Drama.  She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Gino Canepa; sons, Nicholas Lawrence (Yvonne), of Knoxville, Tennessee and Jonathan Lawrence of Kingsport, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Nola Sue; sisters, Charlene Jessee and Rebecca Shrum; beloved nieces, nephews, friends and church family.

A service will be held at the Beulah Community Cemetery with Rev. Al South officiating at 2:00pm on Monday, May 11, 2020.   A celebration of Barbara’s life will be conducted at a later date once the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
