Beulah "Bea" Martin

Beulah “Bea” Martin passed away on Tuesday September 23, 2025 at The Waters of Kingsport. Born in West Virginia, Bea was truly a 'Coal Miner's Daughter'. After her mother's death, Bea (only 11 years old) assumed the position of caregiver for eight of eighteen siblings. Bea went on to live a happy life with her husband and three children. She loved to travel, play the guitar, flat foot to bluegrass music, and gamble at the casinos. There was never a dull moment when Bea was around. She was always the life of the party and now she is center stage in Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ed Martin; parents, Henry and Margaret Rose; grandson, William "Billy" Cope; and eighteen siblings.

Bea is survived by her three children, Joetta Salyers, Diane Shackelford, and Joel Martin; six grandchildren, Ronald "Tiger" Griffith, Tammy McNeely, Holly Mitchell, Amanda Wilt, Ashley McQueen, Jimmy Martin; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch with Chaplain Michael Driver officiating.
