Bessie Mullins Sexton

Bessie Mullins Sexton, 88, of Kingsport, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at her home. Born on June 30, 1935 in Ross Campground, daughter of the late McKinley and Elizabeth Clark Mullins.

Bessie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Sexton; two sons, David and Mike; and three brothers.

Survivors include her son, Allen; daughter, Deanna; grandchildren, Jason (Amanda), Jessie (Kyle), Tonya (Joe), Wesley and Amy; great-grandchildren, McKinley, Sienna, Cadence, Joseph and Noah; sisters, Ella Mae (Jack), Shirley (Deedie); brother, Billy (Shelby).

The family would like to extend special appreciation to her caregiver, Betty York and Amedysis Hospice for their loving care.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Ross Campground United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Karl Berndt officiating.
