Betty Sue Gillenwater

Betty Sue Gillenwater, 81, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Born in Scott County, VA, she had resided in Kingsport for most of her life. Betty had retired from Eastman Chemical Company.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, J. Howard and Bess Taylor.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Gillenwater; daughters, Tammy Hubbard and Rita Ketron; son, Rick Gillenwater and wife, Amy; grandchildren, Travis Goad, Tyler Gillenwater, Abby Gillenwater and Maggie Gillenwater; sister, Joyce Pendleton and husband, Bob.

Her wishes were to be cremated.
