Billie Sue Grills

Billie Grills, 80, of Kingsport, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 28, 2023.  Daughter to the late Rev. Charles and Dorothy Grills, she lived her entire life in Kingsport.  Billie Sue was a registered nurse for over 20 years at HVMC and Indian Path Hospital. She had a passion for helping others and travelled all over the United States as a traveling nurse.

Billie Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Charles and Dorothy Grills; sister, Margaret Tyler; and niece, Tanya Tyler Morse.

She is survived by her children, Paula Woods (Dale), Debbie Casey (Jack); son, Norman Huff (Kathy); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Johnson (Coy); special friend, Mark Waite; and fur babies, Binkie and Pawley.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7pm on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.  The funeral service will follow with Pastor Tim Hodges and Pastor Marshall Steinle officiating. Graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
