Bobbie B. Manning, III, 61, of Sullivan County, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Bristol Regional Medical Center, following a period of declining health. Born in Charlotte, NC on October 20, 1961, a son of the late Bobbie B. Manning, Jr. and Ann Manning of Fall Branch, he has resided in this area most of his life. Bobbie graduated from Sullivan Central High School in 1980 and was formerly employed by the Sullivan County Highway Department. He was of the Baptist faith. Bobbie will be remembered as a loving and devoted son, father, brother and friend who loved UT Football and bowling.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Greystone Health Care and ICU Unit at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Christopher Manning.
Bobbie is survived by his mother, Ann Manning; daughters, Savannah Manning and Samantha Manning of Kingsport; son, Luke Manning of Spring Hill, TN; sister, Denise Watkins and husband Bill of Dublin, VA; brother, Mark Manning and wife Brenda of Fall Branch; nephews, Allen Watkins and wife Charlotte of Christiansburg, VA and Daniel Watkins and wife Jessica of Dublin, VA.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Mark Winkle officiating.
