Brenda Joyce Horne
Brenda Joyce Horne, 82, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Johnson City Medical Center. Joyce was an amazing wife, mother, sister, and homemaker. She loved her grandchildren and always enjoyed their company. Joyce was the type of person who loved to give more than she received. She loved and cared for her pets, Marley (her pet schnauzer) and Scooter (her yellow Nape Amazon Parrot). Joyce was loved by all her family members and will be greatly missed. Joyce was a very devoted Christian and believed whole heartedly in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Joyce was preceded in death by her mother, Dora Evelyn Powell; husband, C.E. Horne; grandparents, John Oliver and Nannie Elizabeth Castle; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by son, Scott Horne; grandchildren, Ashlynn, Mason and Bella Horne; great-grandchildren, Jazlynn Horne and Jaylah Tucker; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will take place at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Ryan Shaffer officiating. Those wishing to attend the service should meet at the cemetery by 1:45 pm.
Pallbearers will be Scott Horne, Mason Horne, Daniel Rollins, Phillip Puleo, Larry Yakley, and John Talley.
