Mrs. Carolyn L. Wiggins Slagle, 84, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at NHC of Kingsport.

Born on May 18, 1941, in Johnson City, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Pauline Wiggins. Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for family and others touched all who knew her. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church

She is survived by her loving husband, J.D. Slagle; children, Chad (Christine) Slagle and Joanna (Carlos) Combs; sister, Betty Shipley; granddaughters, Caitlyn, Mackenzie, and Kerrington; and great-grandson, Shiloh.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Sulphur Springs Cemetery with Rev. Alfred Haun officiating.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
