Carrie Frances Ramey

Carrie Frances Ramey, 84, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 4, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at Brookhaven Manor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Issac and Pearl Bowser; husband, Tyler Ramey; two brothers, Rev. Carl Bowser and Levi Bowser; two sisters, Lydia fields and Lori Osborne; sons, James Ramey, Sr., Carl Ramey, Glen Roberts and Richard Ramey; a son-in-law; and several cousins, grandkids and great-grandkids.

Carrie leaves behind her kids, daughter, Mary Sue Dykes of Kingsport, daughter, Carolyn Guy of Surgoinsville, TN, daughter, Phyllis Roberts of Greeneville, TN, daughter, Shirley Lapeze of North Carolina, son, Wayne Ramey and wife, Patty of Bluff City, TN, son, Earnest Ramey of Chuckey, TN, daughter, Brenda Roberts and husband, Alvin of Greeneville, TN, son, Anthony Ramey of Greeneville, TN, son, Bruce Ramey and wife, Linda of Greeneville, TN, and son, Jeffery Ramey of Greeneville, TN; daughter-in-law, Jeanie Ramey of Jonesborough, TN; a number of cousins, and many, many grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids whom she had helped raise.

The family extends their thanks to Brookhaven Manor's CNAs, nurses, therapy department, and Amedisys Hospice for the care they gave her.

The family will receive friends anytime at 276 W. Jackson Ln., Greeneville, TN 37745, and from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Harold Morelock and Pastor David Morelock officiating.

The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Greeneville, TN.

The pallbearers will be her grandkids and an honorary pallbearer, Travis Ramey.
