Carson Gillenwater
Carson Gillenwater, 55, of Blountville answered when Jesus called him home Monday, May 10, 2010.
Carson attended Ridgeway Baptist Church and worked as a security guard for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Otis and Betty Gillenwater; brother, David Gillenwater.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Betty Sims and husband Junior of Blountville; special cousin, Nancy Harris of Hiltons, VA; special uncle, Don Gillenwater of Church Hill; uncles, Charles Gillenwater of Weber City, VA, Ronald Gillenwater of Church Hill; aunts, Cora Mae Gilbert of Church Hill, Juanita Buick of Kingsport, Elizabeth Bellamy of Kingsport, Anis Yokley of Gate City, VA; special friend Danny Dean of Weber City, VA.
The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. John Rogers officiating.
Burial will follow at Chestnut Flats Cemetery in Gate City, Virginia. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
