Charles Leonard

Charlie C. Leonard, 79, Kingsport, has gone to play on that All Star Team in Heaven.  Charlie was born in Bulls Gap, TN and came to Kingsport when he was an infant.  He was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett, class of ’58. Charlie was known for his basketball and baseball abilities. After graduation he played minor league baseball and graduated from ETSU. Charlie retired from Eastman Chemical.  He was an active member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Margaret Leonard.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Jackie McNutt Leonard; daughters, Cindy Peters and Kim; brother, Robert Leonard; and several special nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 3-5:00 pm on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Rock Springs United Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will follow with Pastor Ronnie Ledford and Rev. Carole Martin officiating.
