Cheryl Wininger

Cheryl Wininger, 72, of Surgoinsville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at her home following a lengthy illness.

Cheryl was a graduate of North Carolina State University and had retired as a chemical engineer from Eastman Chemical Company. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Church Hill. Cheryl enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid sports fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 32 and a half years, Gary Wininger; daughter, Heather Wininger; son, Travis Wininger; stepson, Tony Wininger and wife Celia; four grandchildren, Anna, Emma, Hope and Madison; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12pm – 2pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Blountville. A service will take place at 2pm with Pastor Dustin Jessee officiating. Entombment will follow at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park Mausoleum.
