Christy Elizabeth Miner

Christy Elizabeth "Mama Nana" Miner, 52, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 8 at Wellmont HVMC after a brief illness.

She was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County & had attended Sullivan West High School. She worked at Picadilly Restaurant for several years. She was of the Baptist faith.

Christy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister & friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill & Martha Miner; brothers, Danny & Johnny Miner; maternal grandparents Melvin & Elizabeth Barrett.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristen Fortin Joseph; grandchildren, Jayden, Drake & Maddox Fortin; sisters, Becky Smith Gary & Karen Short; loving companion of 12 years, Scott Bishop; uncle, J. M. Barrett Imogene; & several nieces, nephews & cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh and Rev. Garland Tipton officiating.
