Danny Joe Lawson

Danny Joe Lawson, 60, of Gate City, VA, passed away August 14, 2012, at his home after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Kingsport and lived most of his life in Church Hill, TN. Danny was a graduate of Lynn View High School and was employed as a truck driver with several different companies for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Lawson; sister, Teresa Diane Osborne.

Danny is survived by his wife, Connie "Jan" Lawson; daughter, Karen "Cookie" Lawson Smith and husband, Tim; two granddaughters, Katie and Jessie Smith; brother, Richard "Rick" Lawson and wife, Dru; step-daughter, Jill Webb; step-son, Jeremy Webb; step-grandchildren, Jakob Webb and Josie Goodson; brother-in-law, Rob Osborne; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 16th from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport and any time at the home.
