David Blizard

David Ralph Blizard passed away on June 11th, 2026, at his home in Blountville, TN. David was born to the late Herbert Ralph Blizard and Mildred Bowman Blizard on November 20, 1954. A graduate of Sullivan Central High School, David retired in 2019 from Eastman in Kingsport after 39 years of dedicated work. He was known for his steady presence, his loyalty to those he loved, and his deep devotion to family.

Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 29 years, Elizabeth "Libby" Blizard, along with many cherished family members and friends.

David is survived by his daughter, Laura, her husband Kevin McMillan, and granddaughter Lilibet who knew him as "Super Grandaddy". He is also survived by his brother Mark and wife Jennifer; along with many wonderful and loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Known by many names, Dave, Dad, Super Dave, Uncle Dave, or Super Grandaddy will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Those who loved him can take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his mom, dad, and Libby, along with the others who went before him.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
