David Bright

David Bright, 69, of Pine Grove Community has finished the course and kept the faith.  On March 22, 2024, he went to his Heavenly home.  He attended Pyburn Freewill Baptist Church, where he served as the Superintendent for over 30 years. He was an avid coon hunter and bluegill fisher, who cherished his time in the woods with his buddies. When he wasn’t hunting, he was spending time cruising the roads with his buggy crew. Those were some of his favorite times. 

David would light up any room he walked into. There isn’t one person who has a bad thing to say about him. David was known for being a giving person, and even through death, he continues to give by being an organ donor. He showed the fruits of a man with a true relationship with God. His life told his story. 

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet Bright; two sons, Josh Bright (Tasha) and Matt Bright (Mikayla); grandchildren, Madi Kay and Canaan David Bright, Preston and Emma Rader; two sisters, Connie Sue Kerr (Kenny) and Judy Johnson; and special nieces, nephews and other family members. 

A memorial service will be held from 3 pm – 7 pm on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Pyburn Freewill Baptist Church.
