Debra Lee McCracken Ketron, age 67, of Kingsport, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at her home. Debra was married to the love of her life, Dennis, for 45 wonderful years. Together they raised three children, whom she loved dearly, along with each of their families. She was lovingly known as “Grammy” to her four grandchildren, including baby Eva that is due in May, who meant the world to her and brought her endless joy.
Debra had a compassionate heart for helping others. She was deeply passionate about assisting people in finding the help and support they needed and deserved. She was always present when someone needed a listening ear and will be remembered for her heartfelt advice, honesty, and unwavering kindness.
A devoted Christian, Debra loved Jesus and demonstrated that love every day through her faith-driven life. Her warm spirit and servant’s heart touched everyone who knew her.
Debra leaves behind a beautiful and lasting legacy through her husband, children, and grandchildren—one that will never be forgotten. She was loved by all and will be missed immensely.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Hiram Patton (HP) McCracken; grandmother, Alice A. Peters; grandfather, Clyde E Bowen; grandmother, Velma L McNew; father-in-law, Lymon Ketron; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Ketron; and cousin, Jenner Johnson.
Debra is survived by her spouse, Dennis Ketron; children, Lymon (LT) Ketron, wife Joni, Landon Ketron, wife Lauren, and Laceylee K Scanlan, husband Aidan; grandchildren,
Colton Ketron, Kalie Baker, Willow Ketron, Walker Ketron, and future baby Eva Ketron due in May; parents, Tom & Elizabeth McCracken; siblings, sister, Dian Calhoun, husband Malcolm; brother-in-law, Dwight Ketron, wife Patsy; nieces and nephew,
Carrie Cox, son Bryson Cox, Christy Ramsey, husband Brian, son Brayden, Alec Calhoun, wife, Lorriane and Amanda Calhoun; and several cousins and many close friends.
The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 pm on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Dustin Allman officiating.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be LT Ketron, Landon Ketron, Colton Ketron, Alec Calhoun, Bryson Cox, and Brayden Ramsey. Aidan Scanlan and Walker Ketron serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
