Delenis Kay Goins

Delenis Kay Goins, 81, Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at her home.

Kay was a 1963 graduate of Church Hill High School and was employed at Kingsport Press for 36 years. She was a faithful member of Mt. Vernon Independent Missionary Baptist Church but attended Freedom Independent Missionary Baptist Church.

She was the youngest daughter of the late Joe W and Hazel (Salyer) Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Donald Ray Goins; and two sisters, Wanella Lane and Josephine Berry.

She is survived by daughters, Tammie McCullough of Church Hill, and Patti Ng and husband Ming of Kingsport; one son, Donnie Goins and wife April of Rogersville; five grandchildren, Ming Lee Ng, Katie Ng, Dalton Goins and wife Chelsea, Dakota Goins and wife Danielle, and Damon Goins; three great grandchildren, Cayden Lee Ng, Krue Ray Goins, and McKinlee Blair Goins; one sister; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. The service will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Troy Daily and Pastor Ed McClain officiating. Music will be provided by Norma Anderson.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Those attending graveside services are asked to assemble at the graveside by 10:45 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Greg Berry, Jack Ryans, Randy Ramey, Ivan Ramy, Randy Smith, and Denver Thacker.

Honorary pallbearer is Bobby Napier.
