Dolores Eva Dykes

Dolores Dykes, 90, Fall Branch passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the home of her daughter. She had resided most of her life in Fall Branch, TN. Dolores was a member of the United Church of God in Kingsport. She was an avid seamstress and loved to crochet. Dolores was known as one of the best cooks around.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Dykes; two sons: Darrell and Luke Dykes; and one brother: Johnny Compton.

She is survived by one daughter, Theresa Renfro and husband, Darrell; four grandchildren: Sonya White, Jack Renfro and wife, Rae, Sherri Roth and husband, Paul, and Jason Renfro; three great-grandchildren: Brant and Julia Roth, and Thea Renfro; two sisters: Irene Roberts and Nancy Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Irene, Jo, Connie, Ann and Wendy for the love and care that they gave Dolores.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home in Fall Branch from 1-2:00 p.m. The funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Stan Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Glen Union Temple Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jason Renfro, Jack Renfro, Paul Roth, Darrell Renfro, Charles Hamilton and Jackie Baxter.
