Don Allen Larkins

Don Allen Larkins, age 67, of Kingsport, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 10, 2026, after a battle with cancer.

Don was born on June 20, 1959, in Kingsport, relocated to Ft. Pierce, Florida (for several years), but ultimately returned to his home in Tennessee. He traveled the country as an over-the-road truck driver. He was known as a hard worker and provider. He was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Earl and Darlene Larkins; wife, Diana Faye Larkins; nephew, David Simpson; niece, Marie Simpson; and sister-in-law, Donna Kay Phillips.

He is survived by his daughter, Sara D. Larkins; stepson, Tim Lowery (Victoria Sherman); grandson, Dorian Sherman; siblings, Janice Simpson, Diane Rose (Don), Mike Kelly (Carol) and Connie Hale; nieces and nephews, Kenney Simpson (Melissa), Kristy Rose, Keith Rose (Shane), Michael Kelly (Barbara), Sharon Flanders, Kenny Halterman, Tina Baskett, John Hale (Leslie) and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A visitation will take place from 5:30pm – 7pm on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 7pm with Pastor Mike Owens officiating and vocals by Amanda Allman. Graveside services will be conducted at 10am on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:45am.

The family will receive friends at their home anytime, 145 Kingsley Ave, Kingsport, TN 37660.

Pallbearers will be Kenney and Austin Simpson, Mike and Michael Kelly, Keith Rose and other nephews and family members.
