Donald Castle, 53, passed away on September 7th, 2025, with the love of his life, Tracey, by his side.
Donald was born on September 3, 1972, and throughout his life, he embodied warmth, strength, and kindness. He shared a beautiful life with his wife, Tracey Castle, you could see the love that radiated between them.
A proud retired veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Donald lived his life with honor and service. He found great joy in riding his Harley, the open road reflecting his free spirit. He will be remembered for his smile that could light up a room, his deep love for his family, and the way he touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Shirley Castle; and his brother, Doyle Castle. In addition to his wife, left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy are his children, Casey and Lane; his bonus children, Cody Collins and Mason Speaks; his sister, Sherry Edwards (Mike); brother, Allen Castle; father and mother in law, Dwight “Pops” and Kathy “Mom” Taylor; brother in law, Sam Taylor (Keisha); sister in law, Tara Broadwater; and many extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. A service will follow at 3 p.m. with Bro. Bob Underwood officiating. Military rites will be presented just prior to the funeral by the American Legion Post 3/265.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Yates, Mike Bailey, "Bam Bam" William "Bill Bauer, Sam Taylor, Cody Yonts and Michael Fleenor.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the ICU and Oncology medical staff at Mission Hospital for the care and compassion that was received.
Donald’s presence will be dearly missed, but his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
