Donald R. Furbee, Sr., 82, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010, surrounded by family.
He was a native of Washington D.C. and had lived in Kingsport for eleven years. Donald was a member of First Baptist Church of Kingsport
His parents, Claudius and Nellie Furbee preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Lorraine Furbee, Kingsport, TN; two daughters, Linda Nickerson and husband Lee, Fairfax Station, VA; and Jane Miller, Kingsport, TN; two sons, Don Furbee, Jr., Flagstaff, AZ; and Rob Furbee and wife Debbie, Sandy, UT; five grandchildren, Jason Furbee, Jena and husband Landon Williams, Matt Nickerson, Jonathan Nickerson, and Joshua Miller; and great-granddaughter, Braeslee Williams.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Marvin Cameron officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Holston View Cemetery.
