Donald L. Light
Donald Light, 69, of Beech Creek community went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2010. He was a member of the Van Hill Freewill Baptist Church and he be greatly missed by all of his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fronie and Homer Light; sisters, Dorothy Crawford, Vernie Compton, Mae Webb; brothers, Harlan Light and Jack Light; and nieces, Ashley Webb and Tiffany Compton and a nephew, Steve Rines.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Katherine Light; stepson, Greg Brewer and wife, Lisa; sister, Hazel Penley and husband, Ralph; brothers, Junior Light and wife, Reba, Carson Light and wife, Nancy, and James Light; stepgrandson, Joey Brewer and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5 7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Services will be conducted at 7:00, with Rev. Pete Smith and Rev. Rex Miller officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery on Beech Creek. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Rines, Randall Compton, Joey Brewer, Kevin Jones, Johnny Light, and Allen Swecker.
