Donald Ragan "Donnie" Light

Donald Ragan “Donnie” Light, 66, of Kingsport, was unexpectedly taken from this world on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

Born June 9, 1959, in Kingsport, Donnie was a loyal son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a talented craftsman whose skill and hard work were evident throughout his life. Donnie had a generous and caring heart, and he brought comfort, laughter, and love to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Ivan Light.

Donnie is survived by his daughter, Stacy Mascarenhas; grandchildren, Kayla Mascarenhas and Jordan Mascarenhas; siblings, Freedia Albrecht, Kenny Light Sr., and Stevie Light and wife Brenda; nieces and nephews, Holden Light, Candice Albrecht, Alexis Light, Tiffany Shelton, Courtney Light, and Kenny Light Jr.; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and many friends who loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor David Begley and Pastor Eddie McAmis officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, Virginia.
