Doug Walters

Doug Walters, 82, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 10, 2026. Doug was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and had retired from Domtar. He was of the Baptist faith. Doug was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Irene Walters; brothers, Bun and Charlie Walters.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Carolyn Walters; daughter, Kim Walters; sons, Scott Walters and wife, Larissa, and Keith Walters; granddaughters, Sarah Walters, Samantha Walters and Katie Walters; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Ryan Shaffer officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
