Earl Goins
Earl Goins, 83, Kingsport passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the "CBI" with the Army Air Corp. He retired from the Kingsport Post Office and the City of Kingsport.
Mr. Goins was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kingsport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Golden Goins; son, David Goins; brother, Kenneth Gains; and sister, Dorothy Laningham.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Edith Goins; son, Steve Goins and wife Colleen, all of Kingsport; grandchildren, Ashley, Emily, and Amy Goins; and daughter-in-law, Janet Goins of Greensboro, NC.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Ron Davis officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at East Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
