Earnest Glen Templeton

Earnest Templeton, 80, passed away on September 10, 2024, at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN. Born in Stickleyville, VA, he was a loving husband, father and friend. Earnest retired from Holston Defense Corporation after 35 years of service. He then went to work for himself by establishing Pro Digging, an excavating service. He was a Christian and a member of Powerhouse Church. 

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Oma Bledsoe Templeton; two brothers; two sisters and two nephews. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 28 years, Patricia Templeton; daughters, Melissa Templeton and Carol Templeton (Tommy); sisters, Janet Bowan and husband Billy; and Bonnie Hines, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 2630 Highway 75, Blountville, TN. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Garden of Solomon officiated by Pastor Cliff Cook. Pallbearers will be family.
