Edna Ruth Hill

Edna Ruth Hill, age 87, of Fall Branch, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord Monday afternoon, December 29, 2025, at Johnson City Medical Center. Ruth was born in Sullivan County where she had lived her entire life. She was a member of Gospel Mission and she loved to raise flowers as long as she could and caring for her family.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Avery Hill; sisters, Veda Crawford and brothers, Fred Cox, Donald Cox and Wayne Cox. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Tony Hill (Tris); Debbie Bass (Bob), and Scott Hill (Debbie); grandchildren, Daniel Bass, Sarah Slone, Bradley Hill and Natasha Aguilar; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Elizabeth Bible and Iva Nell Cox.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm – 2:30pm on Friday, January 2, 2026, in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Blountville, Tennessee. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30pm with Rev. Lewis Meade and Rev. Shelton Meade officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
