Elizabeth Jo (Betty) Hoskins

Elizabeth (Betty) Hoskins, 75, of Gray, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. She was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Walter and Pauline Walker. Betty enjoyed working as an RN at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital for 30 years along with 2 years at Clinton Nursing Home.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Pauline (Cartmill) Walker; and siblings, Ronald, Patricia and Robert.

Survivors include her daughter, Shelly Onkotz and husband, Stephen, Jr.; son, Thomas Hoskins and wife, Denise; grandchildren, Ruby Onkotz, Tyler Hoskins, Wesley Hoskins, Kayla Turner and husband, Carlos, Katie Ingram; great-grandchildren, Camden Turner, Raiden Turner and Josiah McWilson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. in the Narthex lobby at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, and Mass to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with Father Anselm Edu officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. Dominic’s Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation or local animal shelter. There will be a donation box for the animal shelter if anyone wishes to bring cat/dog supplies.
