Ernestine Mathis

Ernestine Mathis, 70, of Kingsport, formerly of the New Canton community, passed away on January 19, 2018, after a lengthy illness.

She was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Robinson; mother, Mary Alice Robinson; and father, Claude Robinson.

Ernestine is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dale Mathis; son, Anthony Dale Robinson, Eric Robinson, and Terry Robinson; grandchildren, Terry, Jr., Erica, Alisha, Tyler, India, Kaleb, Judea, Nazareth; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.

Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
