Etta Ruth Wilson

Etta Ruth Wilson, 74, Kingsport, passed away Monday afternoon, August 12, 2019, at Johnson City Medical Center after a short illness. Etta was born in Washington County, TN and resided in Kingsport for most of her life. She was a member of Lynn Garden Evangelical Methodist Church. Etta enjoyed living life with her family and friends and enjoyed a good time.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wilson; sister, Gwendolyn Miller; and 4 brothers, Billy, Ernie, Kermit and Robert.

Etta is survived by her son, Robbie Wilson of the home; sisters, Elsie Whitaker (Roy), Judy Taylor and Lorrain Cox; brother, Sam Miller; very special niece, Kim McCann and husband, Joe; and several other nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

A special thanks to the staff of Johnson City Medical Center for the care they provided for her during her short stay.

The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 pm on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Earl Miller officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
