Florence Sue Morgan

Florence Sue Morgan of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2026. Sue was born in Johnson City on June 4, 1947, to the late Alex and Blaney Durham. She was a graduate of ETSU and King College, and she obtained her nursing degree and several certifications. Sue worked as a registered nurse at Holston Valley Medical Center until her retirement. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she served as parish nurse. Sue continued to educate nurses within the parish over the years.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Durham; and nephew, Gunner Durham.

Survivors include her son, Denham Morgan (Chassidy) of Newport; sister-in-law, Linda Durham of Kingsport; nieces, Courtney Conklin and her family of Kingsport and Whitney Gillian and her family of South Carolina; several friends; and her church family.

Services at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will be announced a later date.
