Frances Elsie Jones

Frances Elsie Jones, 92, of Kingsport, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at her home following a period of declining health.

In addition to her parents, Paul and Chloe Phillips, she was preceded in death by her husband, Drex Jones; grandson, Steve; brother, Dale; and sister-in-law, Effie Phillips.

Survivors include her children, Sharon Jones, Kenny Jones (Kathy), Connie Bentley (Don), Judy Light (Dana); special niece,  Betty Jean Dawson (Jim); six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

According to France’s wishes, no formal services were to be conducted.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice; Chaplain Karl Berndt; and nurses, Taylor, Emily, Denise, Monica, Joanna, and Joanie for your care, love, and words of comfort toward her in her final days.

Also, a special thank you to good friends, Audrey Overbay and Penny Erdely for all the good food they provided.
