George F. Spears
George F. Spears, 88, of Kingsport, passed away quietly on Friday (January 17, 2014) at Wellmont Hospice House of Bristol. He was a good person who loved gardening and fishing. George loved nature and the outdoors, especially watching birds and butterflies. He retired from the Navy as a machine operator having served on the USS Princeton
(CV-37).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mamie and Dewey Spears and his sister, Katherine Spears.
George is survived by his caregiver and cousin, Faye Slater; several first and second cousins; and his friend, Ernestine Ward.
Graveside services will be private as per George's wishes.
